Hello Everyone!
We have a few rather mundane housekeeping announcements to make.
Many you may have noticed that due to the last DW code push, our game pages got borked. After fiddling with the code, we’ve figured out a way to fix the situation, and we will be updating the pages to reflect the new code. Though be patient with us, we may be slow at this.
In the process, we decided this was a perfect time to also update and add to our FAQ/Rules, make a small change to one part of the Points System, and rework the Player Communications Page. We explain each change below.
⇀ FAQ/Rules Page
We’ve clarified a few existing rules, expounded a bit on a few, and added a few rules. Mostly these changes are things that we’ve been asked about, and a few things we realized were not as clear as we thought they were.
All changes are currently in red for easy finding.
Everyone should look over the page to familiarize themselves with the changes.
⇀ Points Page
Recently we realized that meta power regain items could have either simple or complex meta powers, and it didn’t seem right for those to cost the same amount of points. So we’ve restructured the cost added to items for meta powers. The complex meta power items cost the original additional price for meta power items. The additional cost of simple meta power items is less than that.
The change is reflected in the chart detailing the cost of item regains.
⇀ Player Communication Page
Almost as soon as we opened the game, we realized that requiring players to track the comments of this page results in players’ inboxes being spammed. But we did not want to stymie the flow of player creativity. We wanted players communicating!
We needed to come up with a system that players could track, so they could know when another player wanted to pick up a canonmate, that didn’t restrict player creativity, but also didn’t spam everyone’s inboxes. We admit it took us a while to figure this out.
The new system will include a top-level wherein a player can announce their intent to bring in a canonmate, this top-level will be the one we ask players to track. No other comments will be posted in this top-level. Prospective players will post their form for plotting and communicating as their own top levels, which do not need to be tracked. This way, players can carry on their creative conversations without spamming everyone’s inboxes.
However, this means that the current comments on the Player Communication Page will be erased. We will give everyone until this Saturday to save any information they want to keep from that page and then we will delete the old comments and switch in the new system.
If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to Contact Us. You are all awesome, be excellent to one another, and happy playing!
